Annual IDO Updates
Planning staff offers annual trainings highlighting key changes adopted in each year's update of the City's Integrated Development Ordinance.
2022 Annual Update
Planning staff led training sessions in October 2023 to highlight changes adopted for the IDO Annual Update 2022.
2019 Annual Update
Planning staff led training sessions in October 2020 that highlighted changes adopted for the IDO Annual Update 2019.
Public Input Process in the IDO
The Office of Neighborhood Coordination hosted a training on the public notice and input process under the Integrated Development Ordinance on November 5 and November 7, 2018. Representatives from ONC, the Planning Department, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Office presented information, followed by a question and answers period.
IDO Trainings by Content Sections
Planning staff provided these training sessions in March and April 2018 to answer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about each content section of the IDO. Presentations and handouts are available via the links below.

Planning staff offered 6 interactive training sessions in January and February 2018 that offered an overview of the new Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) in English and one in Spanish.

IDO Overview for each of 12 Community Planning Areas (CPA)
The project team offered overview trainings in each of the City's 12 Community Planning Areas (CPAs) in January and February 2018 for Neighborhood Associations, residents, business owners, non-profits, and other stakeholders. A Spanish language interpreter was available at each CPA training session. Un intérprete de español estará disponible en cada sesión de capacitación de CPA.

Winter 2023
Planning staff from the Urban Design & Development Division hosted a City Leaders Academy that focused on historic presentation and traditional housing options at the Special Collections Library on December 2, 2023.
Housing Challenges + Opportunities in Albuquerque
Planning staff spoke to Strong Towns on February 21, 2024 about past and current housing challenges and opportunities for changing zoning in the IDO to promote housing options and racial equity.
