The City has committed to continually improving the Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) through an annual update process. 

  • Staff submitted proposed changes into the City's review/decision process on October 28, 2021
  • The IDO Annual Update for 2021 was introduced at City Council on February 23, 2022 as O-22-10.
  • City Council voted to approve the bill on June 6, 2022.
  • Amendments other than those related to replacing the Development Review Board (DRB) will go into effect July 28, 2022.
  • Amendments related to the DRB replacement will go into effect December 28, 2022.

The City Council's Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) Committee considered the IDO Annual Update for 2021 (Ordinance 22-10 or O-22-10) in March and April 2022.

EPC Review / Recommendation

On December 16, 2021, the Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) heard proposed changes at a special hearing via Zoom. EPC voted unanimously to forward a recommendation to approve the changes, with conditions, to City Council. 

On December 9, 2021, Planning staff presented overviews of the proposed changes at a study session via Zoom.
