IDO - Resolution 17-240 - Zone Changes

This Resolution was introduced for LUPZ consideration during deliberation of the IDO. The Resolution directs the Planning Department to embark on a process to reach out to property owners who may want a zone change after the IDO is adopted for one of the following reasons:

  • To match existing land use(s) to the appropriate IDO zone (ie addressing nonconforming uses that pre-existed the IDO or that were created by the IDO)
  • To downzone properties in Areas of Consistency (RT to R-1, for example)
  • To better match zone lines with property lines
  • To rezone vacant properties that were formerly zoned SU-1, SU-2, or SU-3
